I am a current student at Williams College—class of ’28. I plan to double major in Studio Art and Chemistry. I am very interested in how chemistry blends with art, both in a conservation sense and in a studio practice sense. As I see it, all artworks depend first and foremost on their chemical makeup—for goodness sake we need light to interact with electrons to see color in the first place. I have always drawn, painted, sculpted, and taken photographs, but I am hoping that by combining a studio and lab practice, that my art can find its way into areas beyond traditional media.
